Seriously......I do understand the concern about making fun of someone, but OBVES continues to relentlessly post here despite the ridicule. It doesn't seem to be bothering him much. In fact, I too sometimes wonder whether or not he is just pulling our collective leg.

hello friends,.

i heard from a "brother" whose daughter is in bethel, that his daughter told him that there will be 'new light" released in january pertaining to "adjustments in understanding" of the generation doctrine.. does anybody know what this may be about?

or what the change might be?.

You know....I would hope that there is going to be a significant number of the r&f who are going to be thinking "Again???!!!"

They have made so many ( hahahaha....snicker ) refinements to this doctrine that surely by now even they have trouble keeping it straight.Especially since, as Awakened pointed out, some of them are getting a bit crusty. Maybe even.... senile. ( Gasp! )

Wouldn't you just love to be at an assembly just long enough to see Teddy J have a melt down over this topic? "We know that our Lord Jesus definitely said that This Generation would not pass away before Armageddon!This generation refers to those ones 14 or older in 1914.............er,yes....no......1957.no..wait....lets see, was it 1995? i have a question..... this question is open to everyone, but as you will see, input from jwd's resident scholars ( like narkissos and leolaia ) will be essential.. in the account found in 1 samuel chapter 28, we read about sauls infamous visit to the spirit medium of en-dor.

at sauls request she summons the spirit of samuel.. in the notwelltranslated, the name samuel is written in quotation marks like this..."samuel.

" this, of course, gives the reader the impression that this is not really samuel.

It certainly appears to me that Saul thought that he was talking to Samuel.

Whoever wrote the account didn't do anything to correct that perception, either.

i really have never understood prayers too well or how they are answered or not.

i really think it is more of a self-help type excercise.

BTW Narkissos, regarding your question....The members of one of the Kingdom Halls that I attended were of the opinion that by constantly ( and I mean constantly ) slamming the U.S. they were displaying their neutrality........I'm not talking about the usual comments about the superiority of Gods Kingdom over any human government, rather, outright anti-U.S. stuff.
